Harvard Elections for the Board of Overseers and the HAA Board of Directors opens April 1st! We invite all alumni to join us in a HCC Harvard Election Special at 5:30pm on Thursday, April 8th to discuss the Role of Harvard's Boards.
In this Harvard Club of Chicago special event, HCC Director Jason Koh AB '90 will talk with HCC's Paul Choi and Julie Palmer about the role of Harvard's Board of Overseers and the HAA Board of Directors. During the discussion, they will define and demystify the entities governing Harvard and involved with Harvard alumni, including the Board of Overseers, the Corporation, the Harvard Alumni Association, the HAA Executive Committee, the HAA Board of Directors, HAA Elected Directors, and the HAA Nominating Committee. They will go through the nominating and election process, why it's so unique, and why it's important for Harvard alumni to vote each year as well as to nominate and support candidates.
Paul Choi AB '86 JD '89 is a current Harvard Overseer, former HAA President and Elected Director, former HCC President and current HCC Ex-Officio Director. Julie Gage Palmer AB '84 is a current HAA Nominating Committee member, current HAA Schools & Scholarships Committee member, former HAA Elected Director and longstanding HCC Director.
