Gov. John Hickenlooper event CANCELLED

The Harvard Club of Chicago and Harvard Business School Club of Chicago invite all Harvard alumni/ae to join them at the Goose Island Brewery to meet Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper on Thursday, October 17th.

Please join us in welcoming Gov. Hickenlooper as he discusses how he moved from founding the Wynkoop Brewery in 1988, to becoming Mayor of Denver in 2003, and then to being elected Governor of Colorado in 2010.  This article will provide additional background on the Governor.

The Goose Island Brewery, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year along with the Wynkoop Brewery, will be treating us to a variety of freshly brewed beers, along with heavy appetizers.  This will be a good chance to mingle and enjoy the refreshments!

Date: Thursday, October 17, 2013 ~

Time:   5:30 p.m. - Buffet reception with complimentary beer
                              (cash bar for other beverages)
            6:15 p.m. - Remarks by Gov. Hickenlooper
            7:15 p.m. - Complementary brewery tours

Location:  Goose Island Brewery, 1800 N. Clybourn Ave., Chicago

Public transportation:  Near Red & Brown Line Stations, as well as Clybourn Metra stop.

Parking is available at no charge in the Bed Bath & Beyond, and Baby Gap parking lots.  (Please do not park in the Binny's or Best Buy lots.)

All cancellations must be received during normal business hours, 2 business days prior to the event or the attendee who made the reservation will be charged due to costs associated with the reservation and/or the event itself, regardless of actual participation.

Please note that after you have selected your tickets for this event and click on "Checkout," you will be offered the opportunity to make a contribution to the Harvard Club of Chicago's Scholarship Endownment Fund.  This Fund helps provide scholarships for Chicago-area freshmen to Harvard College based on financial need.  The Club has been funding scholarships for Chicago-area students for over one hundred years.
