Dr. Michelle Larson is the president of the Adler Planetarium.  She is the Adler’s ninth leader, the first female president of America’s First Planetarium and the first female president of an institution on Chicago’s museum campus. She joins an institution that has redone exhibits, added astronomical research and cutting edge science plus a showcase central domed theater that is among the most technologically advanced in the world. An immediate challenge is to develop a new strategic plan that will find a home for the massive space shuttle flight simulator received  from NASA last year and currently in storage.

Dr. Larson is an accomplished astrophysicist and the former vice provost at Utah State University.
