This will be the final event in our year-long celebration of Harvard’s 375th Anniversary. Professor Damrosch completes our trilogy of star Harvard professors as the representative of the Humanities, leading us in a fascinating discussion of how to think about literature in a modern, global context. Professor Damrosch will discuss the uses and abuses of literature in the Internet age, showing some of the surprising ways that classic works are coming to life today—including a close analysis of some intriguing texts you are guaranteed never to have encountered before.
