Dinner will be followed by a short business meeting and election of officers

The Annual Meeting of the Harvard Club of Chicago this year will be held at Sun Wah BBQ Restaurant, Chicago. The prix fixe Chinese banquet will be served round table family style, and will feature ample portions of  SunWah’s  acclaimed Beijing Duck , and include pan seared Dover Sole filets, steamed stuffed tofu (shrimp filling), clams, Beef with Chinese broccoli, and other vegetarian entrees. There will be a cash bar reception featuring fried shrimp, tofu and egg roll appetizers to begin the evening.      

The dinner will begin with a wine toast in memory of Dr. Richard Burnstine AB’50, MD '54, who passed away in February, 2017. Dr. Burnstine, a past President of the Club, was a active member of the Board of Directors who contributed many decades of service to the Club, and helped organize many dinner and wine tasting events.

After dinner, there will be the Election of Officers and Board of Directors for the 2018 fiscal year beginning July 1.  Paul Choi AB ’86, JD ’89,  newly elected Harvard University Overseer, former Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) president, and a past Club president, will then do a question and answer session about his experience as the HAA president.

Location:  Sun Wah BBQ Restaurant, 5039 N. Broadway, Chicago - 2nd Floor Banquet Room
(2 blocks south of Foster Ave., east side of the street. Public transportation: Near the CTA Red Line Argyle stop, CTA Broadway bus #36)

Parking:   

Self parking at no charge is available in a dedicated parking lot for Harvard dinner attendees only, two doors south of the restaurant, but is limited to only 30 cars; parking is also located on Broadway and Argyle streets (no meter charge on Sundays), as well as neighborhood side streets (no residential permits required, but space availability can vary.)

Cost:       HCC Members & Guests - $45 per person
                HCC Decade Members, Current Students & Their Guests - $40 per person
                Non-Members & Their Guests - $50 per person
