Following, there will be a complimentary hosted tasting of a selection of Beam Suntory’s Japanese whiskies and Small Batch bourbons (Knob Creek Rye, Maker’s 46, Hibiki Harmony, etc.)

Mauricio Restrepo, SVP Global CFO, HBS MBA ’91

Mauricio Restrepo was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Beam Suntory, Inc., the world’s third-largest premium spirits company, in October 2014. Restrepo is responsible for the global finance organization, including accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, controls, audit and global business services. He serves on the Beam Suntory Executive Leadership Team as well as the Beam Suntory Board of Directors.

A highly experienced international finance leader, Restrepo has more than a dozen years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry. Prior to joining Beam Suntory as CFO, Restrepo served as the Regional Finance Director for SABMiller’s European business, following his first role at the brewer as CFO of its Grupo Empresarial Bavaria subsidiary, based in Colombia, and then as CFO for all of Latin American.

Prior to entering the beverage alcohol business, Restrepo held commercial and finance positions of increasing responsibility at Random House, South American automaker SOFASA, and JP Morgan.

During his career, Mauricio has collaborated closely with commercial and operating teams to achieve financial and strategic goals, revamping reporting, budgeting and planning processes, reaching greater strategic and operational alignment, and more. He has been a leader in developing successful growth strategies, driving margin expansion, and building the capabilities of his teams.

Fluent in German, English and Spanish, Restrepo received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and mathematics from Tufts University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
