Greater Chicago Food Depository Volunteer Repack Session

“No one should go hungry, yet more than 860,000 people in Cook County are unsure of when they will receive their next meal. The number of people our network serves has increased in recent years, but we will continue to fight hunger until 1 becomes none.”
Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) website

Join the Harvard Club of Chicago at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Wednesday evening, April 16th.  The GCFD regularly needs volunteers to help with repacking donated food and other products. In 2013, volunteers offered 98,000 hours, making it possible for the Greater Chicago Food Depository to distribute 66 million pounds of food.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository welcomes children age 14 and older.  Volunteers must be able to stand for up to 90 minutes while doing some light lifting and bending.

Please refer to the GCFD web site for Frequently Asked Questions and answers including details on parking and attire.
