Marybeth Kravets
This honoree is currently the Chief Education Officer for The Chicago Scholars Foundation, a group that supports under-resourced students for mentoring, college admissions and access to summer internships and career programming.  Ms. Kravets is also Director of College Counseling at Wolcott-School.  She was co-founder of College Bound Opportunities and has co-authored a leading guide to college programs and services for students with learning disabilities.  Ms. Kravets has an AB from the University of Michigan, an MA from Wayne State University and is the recipient of the Wilson Award and Crystal Award for her college-counseling work.


Jack Schuler
Mr. Schuler founded the Schuler Family Foundation in 2001 to provide college scholarship assistance to bright motivated high school students who are typically first-generation college-bound students who are from under-resourced families and communities.  The genesis of the program came from Jack Schuler’s parent who arrived in the U.S. to search for a better life armed with only an education. The Schular Scholar Program is funded solely by the Schuler Family Foundation.

Craig Lambert
The evening’s speaker is the Deputy Editor of Harvard Magazine.  The title of Craig Lambert’s address is:  “How Harvard Changed Comedy:  from the National Lampoon to Saturday Night Live, Animal House, David Letterman, The Simpsons and Beyond.”  With many comic examples, Mr. Lambert illustrates how Harvard comedy writers revolutionized American humor.  Mr. Lambert has been a staff writer and editor since 1988.  His work has appeared in many publications, including Sports Illustrated, Town & Country and the New York Times.  His book, Mind over Water: Lessons on Life from the Art of Rowing was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.  Mr. Lambert received his AB from Harvard in 1969 and his Ph.D. in 1978.
