Newly Appointed Director of Harvard Art Museums in Conversation
with a Harvard Alumna
Martha Tedeschi, Deputy Director for Art and Research at the Art Institute of Chicago, has just been appointed Director of the Harvard Art Museums, to begin in early July. Suzanne Folds McCullagh, Harvard Ph.D. ’81, recently celebrated her 40th year at the Art Institute and retired as the Chair and Curator of Prints and Drawings there.
The two women have worked together for 34 years and will converse together on the role that visual literacy should play at Harvard, how the Harvard Art Museums can strengthen their interaction with the academic and local community, and how Harvard can continue its leadership position in training museum professionals in an increasingly diverse world.
